Plum Tuckered Out

Dog tired Posted by Hello

Amelia loves going to the daycare where I work for a few hours every Monday morning. She doesn't love the getting up early, but once I took her out of the car and she saw where we were, she started smiling. After snack, all of the children, (there are three other than Amelia), get bundled up and go outside. Today they all got onto bikes and trikes and chased each other around, yelling. Amelia thought this was great fun, and stood, leaning on a trike, yelling and laughing. Later, inside, the children were building towers with large cardboard bricks and knocking them down. Amelia loved this too, and joined by more yelling and by waving her own brick around. She's getting more confident at the daycare and doesn't always need me to be close. Now, of course, she's sound asleep!

She smiles at me when I get it right

Amelia woke from her nap a little early today, but I didn't think too much of it. When I brought her out, she wasn't ready to do anything so I brought her back into the bedroom thinking she might want to go back to sleep. Sure enough, when we got in the room she started giggling, and she went back to sleep for a long nap. She's working on getting tooth #7, so that's probably what woke her up as well as why she needs the extra sleep.

Molli left tonight, so things may be a little boring for her now!

Humane Baby Trap

How to catch a baby... Posted by Hello

Amelia got herself into this and walked from side to side trying to find a way out, until she got frustrated and was rescued.

getting it all together

Here's a picture of Amelia in Lighthouse park on the weekend. She loved climbing over and around the rocks.

(soon I'll teach myself how to get the writing and the picture in the same post...I'm just pleased I've got myself this far, now I'll actually invite people to see this site!!)

Serious work, this outdoors! Posted by Hello

I'm still alive!

Well. I'm finally feeling better. That was 5 days of torture, I lost seven pounds. I'm just happy Pam and Molli were here to help. And Lance was so sweet, he brought cake and more presents for me on my birthday.

Amelia's latest thing is she's trying to snap her fingers. Molli learned a song in her course that involves snaping and she's been singing it to Amelia, and now Amelia has got her thumb, middle and index fingers working to figure out this snapping thing.

It's another beautiful day, Molli's gone to the library, and if nap schedules coincide, Amelia and I"ll go for a walk with our friends K and baby L.

Beautiful day

My mom is here for a visit and this morning we, (her, Amelia and I) sat outside in the sun . we had our tea while Ami played in the dirt. that dirt is fun when it goes through your fingers. then we went for a walk down to Lonsdale to get some food for dinner and got Ami a new little outfit and a pair of robeez shoes. Right now, Grandma and Baby are napping.

The day is done now, we went out and bought Ami some more clothes with the money from Nana Eileen. Now that she's playing in the dirt she goes through clothes faster, (plus that growing thing she does so well).
